
A native of Big Stone Gap, Trey Stidham has called these Appalachian mountains his
home for 25 years. He has heavily participated in the arts in this region since he was young. His
passion for the theatre is derived by The Trail of the Lonesome Pine. Trey performed in his first
performance of The Trail of the Lonesome Pine in 2008 and has a collective ten years of service
to the outdoor drama, making this year his eleventh season.
Currently, Trey serves as the One Act and Drama Club director at Union High School
where he works extensively with students from 8th to 12th grade, teaching them the complexity
of the arts. In addition, Trey is also a member of the Resident Acting troupe at the Appalachia
Cultural Arts Center. In 2022, he served as Artistic Director of the Appalachia Cultural Arts
Center, where he produced “Sweet Delilah Swim Club” and “Steel Magnolias”.
Most notable stage roles for Trey include Lefou (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Nikos
(Legally Blonde: the Musical), Mortimer Brewster (Arsenic and Old Lace), and Young Dave
Tolliver (Trail of the Lonesome Pine).
